FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, Cont'd.
What sort of public transportation is available?
There are several bus lines that run to Los Gatos, and you can view the mapped routes here (PDF). Visit the VTA website for schedules. If you live close to Winchester Boulevard you can take the #48 bus. If you’re closer to Los Gatos Boulevard you can hop on the #49 line; both will drop you off right at the park where the concerts take place. If you’re on your bicycle, free bike valet service is available directly across the street from the Civic Center, at Summit Bicycles. Also, you can hitch a ride on one of the “KwickCart” bicycle carriages that circle downtown Los Gatos (visit www.KwickCart.com for more info). KwickCart is offering these services for free (but gratuities are very much appreciated!).
Are there trash and/or recycling cans?
Portable recycling & trash receptacles are provided surrounding the park for your convenience. However, in an effort to minimize the burden on the Parks Department clean-up crew, it is highly recommended that you carry away any waste you produce and deposit it in your home recycling containers.
Is there a seating policy?
Please Note: The Town of Los Gatos Parks Department prohibits the placement of SMALL UNATTENDED tables, chairs or other items reserving spaces on the Civic Center lawn PRIOR TO 3:00 PM on concert dates, to allow for full public access and use of the park during the earlier hours of the day. Unattended items will be collected and placed in a designated area off the lawn, per Town policy. No blankets will be allowed on the lawn before or during the concerts (because they trap heat and cause damage to the lawn). The following are prohibited by the Town of Los Gatos: tents, umbrellas, grills, portable generators, items that disrupt the concert, tape or any other material, or hanging or posting anything on trees, plants or light posts. Out of courtesy and respect for others, please do not place chairs or tables in areas that may obstruct someone's view; low chairs and very small tables are encouraged. Pedestrian walkways will be marked on the lawn area. Please keep pathways clear.
